Megan Anna Rapinoe born 5th July 1985, Redding California. She started playing soccer from a very young age and developed her game throughout her teenage years. In 2011 Rapinoe played some games with Sydney Football Club FC of the Australian W-League before returning to the United States. Her next club is the Seattle Washington Sounders Women. Then came she is with the Sound FC. In 2013, Rapinoe spent her time training in France. When the WPS was disbanded, she joined Seattle Reign FC (now OL Reign) of the National Women's Soccer League NWSL. Rapinoe was soon a top player for the team, and eventually became captain. In Rio, she and the U.S. lost in the quarterfinals. Her FIFA Women's World Cup debut was in 2011 Her contributions have helped in helping the U.S. team win consecutive Women's World Cup championships in 2015 and 2019. In 2018 she became cocaptain for the U.S. national team. Rapinoe has won two bronze medals at the United States' 4-3 win against Australia at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Japan has been postponed until 2021 by the COVID-19 viral epidemic.
